Résumé
This evaluative study aims to identify the extent of sixth grade students’ skill in mental arithmetic, and the role of the latter in their control in solving mathematical problems in the number and arithmetic axis presented in the first trimester of the school year. Skill in mental arithmetic at low grades? Do the low scores obtained in the test of skill in mental arithmetic differ depending on the low scores obtained in the test of control in solving mathematical problems?
