This study aims to develop a cognitive approach of Oppositional Defiant Disorder ODD. Based on the systematic review approach, the researchers started from clarifying the concept of the disorder and its causes, leading to the interpretation of the cognitive structure of the disorder through previous studies that focused on cognitive deficiencies at the level of cognitive processes and suggesting interpreted models. For that reason, the principal research question of this study are as follows: Does cognitive structure contribute to the emergence of oppositional defiant disorder? Does deficiencies in cognitive processes lead to the development of behavioral problems in a child with ODD?
