The study aims to analyze the roles of Algerian families in protecting children from cybercrimes within the context of widespread digital applications and platforms. It employs a descriptive approach using questionnaires administered to a purposive sample of 30 families from the 1006-housing district in Setif city during May-July 2025. The primary research question centers on: What roles do Algerian families perform to safeguard their children from cybercriminal activities? This encompasses secondary questions addressing methods used, means employed, and challenges encountered. Results demonstrate that families rely on monitoring, dialogue, awareness-raising, and moral values, yet lack modern technological tools and adequate community support.
