Life with the Taste of Death in the Palestinian Novel - A Cry of Existence beneath a Sky of Pain
Keywords:
Palestinian Novel, Life with the Taste of Death, Steadfastness, Occupation, SymbolismAbstract
The study analyzes the paradox of "life tasting of death" in the Palestinian novel as an existential experience reflecting steadfastness under occupation.
It employs a critical-analytical methodology, tracing manifestations of death (physical/symbolic) and life (resistance/perseverance) in novels by Kanafani, Sahar Khalifeh, and Ibrahim Nasrallah.
Central questions address depictions of death in its forms, narrative mechanisms reinforcing life as resistance, and their dialectical interplay in plot construction.
It also examines psychological and social impacts via symbols (olive tree, key, child).
