The Problem of Criticism of the Narrations of Islamic History according to the Rules of Criticism among Modern Scholars

Abstract

This research aims to  address a systematic approach related  to critical studies of  the Islamic history narratives in the first three centuries, as  most of the historical narratives were not submitted to the critical method through which the news and the narratives are filtrated and classified as acceptable and unacceptable. The absence of a clear and strict methodology might have kept the historical narratives as a mixture of acceptable and rejected texts, that is why some academics adopted a systematic scientific vision that aims to benefit from the critics method of Hadith scientists and then apply it on historical narratives taking into consideration the similarities in the form and the method of transmission, as well as the differences in the content.  So, to what extent is it possible to apply this method on the historical narrative?
