Abstract

This  article  reveals  the  wide  openness  of  the  Arabic  language  curricula  of  the  intermediate  phase-the  Second  Generation-  to  contemporary  linguistic  knowledge  both  at  the  theoretical  level  or  at  the  curriculum  level.  This  is  in  light  of  the  tight  relationship  of  the  didactics  of  languages  with  theoretical  and  applied  linguistics  in  their  different  branches.  It  is  a  relationship  that  established  in  the  educational  reality  a new  approach  represented  in  the  communicative  functional  approach,  and  this  is  to  track  and   follow  the  orientation  of  the  contemporary  linguistic  lesson  towards  the  strategies  of  discourse,  functional  grammar,  socio-linguistics  and  pragmatic’s  approaches  in  their  various  aspects  in  order  to   foresee  the  horizons  of   millennium  in  which  discourse  has  become  a  power  bet.
