Objectives and steps for teaching literary texts in high school

Abstract

The human mind needs imagination to fill in the gaps of real life. Human beings need to be imaginative dreamers and contemplate life through literature in general, and in poetry in particular. Studying literary texts is the opportunity the learner likes in various grades; it helps students' minds to relax and start thinking, going beyond the strict scientific definitions that control the mind. That is the purpose, in this article, of determining the need for literary texts to taught, their objectives and procedures of teaching.
