Training teachers, in France and elsewhere

Abstract

The presentation that I will make below of teacher training in France and…elsewhere should not be taken as the model of what “works” first because “everything” doesn’t work and we still have (and fortunately!)  solutions to be found, problems to be resolved, and secondly that a system of training cannot be transposed from one situation to another, from one country to another…This which makes its first quality is its relevance with the socio-economic context in which it fits.
