The aesthetic and semantic
structure of the novel "The fourth
kingdom: the alienation of Mawjoud II"
depended on what is present in the
Arab heritage using the artistic
reference of the travel. The Algerian
novelist Al-Azhar Atia uses travel
literature as a symbolic framework
through which he expresses abstract
ideas, giving way to the narration of
travel and alienation, all framed by the
poetry of discovery and knowledge; the
discovery of the mysteries and secrets
of the Kingdom on the one hand, and
the identification of its ancient and
modern history on the other. Al-Azhar
follows the history of certain periods
without designating any place or
person, but rather transmits in the
narrative discourse some symbolic
indicative signs forming a complete
reference for real historical events.
However the semantic codes can be
decoded during the contexts of the
novel.
